About

My name is Kerry Digges, and I founded Nomini Boards nearly six years ago. I create handcrafted pieces from locally sourced trees that have either fallen naturally or needed to be removed.
Every tree passes through our family's sawmill before I begin transforming the wood. Many of these trees are mature, old-growth specimens from Northern Virginia communities such as McLean and Arlington. By giving this remarkable local wood a second life, each Nomini board becomes a unique piece of the region's natural history.

My company name ~Nomini Boards--Nomini is pronounced "Nom-In-Eye".  The "Nomini Creek" is in the Northern Neck of Virginia.

And yes--I do a great deal of the woodworking myself.

Nomini is a name derived from a Native American language meaning "deep current".  (Nom-In-EYE)  My family's summer place sits on the Nomini Bay
